!BIRTH: Calculated from information in the 1881 and 1891 Censuses for Prince Edward Island, Lot 50, Residence 2. Census states that he was 69 in 1891. Place of Birth: Scotland.

!IMMIGRATION: His father emigrated to PEI from Uig, Skye, Scotland 6/1/1829. He was about 6 or 7 years old at the time. He was living on his father's farm in 1880. MEACHAM'S ILLUSTRATED AND HISTORICAL ATLAS OF THE PROVINCE OF PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND, 1880, patron's directory, Lot 50, gives the year of settlement on the farm as 1829. He lived on the north side of Dundee Road, in Lot 50. See MEACHAM'S, p. 104.
