Davis Genealogy, Vol. I, galley III-A, Compiled by Thomas Clayton Davis. OBITUARY: She was converted in early life and united with the Northampton S. D. B. church, Clark County, Ohio. Soon after marriage they moved to Port Jefferson, Shelby County, uniting with the S.D.B. church of this place. They remained here but a short time, moving to Stokes Township, Logan County, Neb., and lunited with the Stokes Church. In 1856 they removed to Richardson County, Neb. The Long Branch S.D. B. church was organized about this time where they both became members. Retaining their membership until death. She lived but about five hours after taking sick. The funeral services were held at the house of her son-in-law, Dea. Lewis Van Horn, where she had died. Services were conducted by U. M. Babcock. She was then laid to rest by the side of her aged husband in the "new" S. D. B. cemetery on Long Branch.
