Married four times?

AYARS, ARNOLD JOHN -- Arnold John Ayars was born Jan. 7, 1861, at Springville,New York; and died Dec. 10, 1942, at his home in Kalamazoo, Mich. The family moved to Michigan when Arnold John was small and later he worked in the old Review and Herald Publishing office until it was moved to Washington. In 1883, he was married to Miss Nina Hendricks. He leaves to mourn, his wife, his daughter, and other relatives and friends. (Hugh Williams) (Obituary, Lake Union Herald, Mar. 16, 1943.)
