Birth & Death: AYARS, ERNEST URIAH--Ernest W. Ayars, born Nov. 1, 1880; died in Mount Vernon, Ohio, Jun 26, 1957. He entered denominational work in 1916, serving as principal of the Fox River Academy. In South America he was principal in the Chill‡n, Chile, Academy, Lima, Peru, and River Plate College in Argentina. Upon returning from the mission field he worked at the Review and Herald until ill health forced his retirement. He was a graduate of Emmanuel Missionary College and he also took work at the Theological Seminary. Left to mourn are his wife, Irene Campbell Ayars; 2 daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Emmerson of Montevideo, Uruguay, and Mildred Ayars of Mount Vernon, Ohio; and a son, James of Grand Rapids, Mich.
